Public Works – Survey Crew, Instrument Operator
Salary: PW11 Steps 2-4 $4,474.11 - $4,891.19 Longevity Steps 5-8 $5,115.50 - $5,857.99
The Chelan County Public Works Office is seeking applications for a full-time survey crew,
Instrument Operator position. The employee in this position must be proficient in the operation
of surveying instruments and survey grade G.P.S. equipment. Responsibilities include but are not
limited to the survey of county right-of-way, cadastral surveying, geodetic surveying,
topographic surveying, construction surveying and the establishment and preservation of county
right-of-way monumentation, property corners and control.

Effective January 1, 2024 the salary range for this position is PW11, Step 2 at $4,474.11 per
month to Step 8 at $5,857.99 per month. Starting salary is dependent on qualifications and
experience. Employees receive a progression of steps until reaching Step 8. The position
includes a state retirement system, with a deferred comp program available. Health insurance
package includes Medical, Dental, and county contributions to a personal health savings account.
Includes 11 paid holidays and 2 floating personal holidays along with monthly accrued vacation
and sick leave.
