Berglund Schmidt & Assoc. is looking to hire an individual for party chief and office technician work. The ideal candidate would have 3 years of party chief experience with some office experience, however we are willing to train the right motivated individual with no experience.
We are a small Land Surveying firm in Hoquiam, Washington established in 1956. Our work is primarily residential, industrial and commercial in town performing boundary, ALTA, topographic, construction and elevation certificate surveys with occasional remote timber work. We have a diverse group of great long-term clients with whom we perform a wide variety of surveying work throughout the state.
Being a small company, we prefer individuals to perform a variety of work in the field and in the office so the opportunity for growth is unlimited. We are looking for an individual with a strong math and analytical background with an adaptive, self-motivated, ambitious and professional personality striving for continuous growth professionally and with the company with an ultimate goal of being licensed. We would like this person to ultimately lead a crew of one or two in the field and work in the office with AutoCAD drafting a variety of surveying drawings with significant attention to detail.
Our company currently uses a Trimble S6 robotic total station, Trimble R8 m3 base and rover GPS, TSC3 and Ranger 3 data collectors with survey pro, Leica DNA 10 digital level for field equipment. In the office we use the latest versions of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Hourly wages will range from $15 to $40 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include holidays, vacation, medical dental vision insurance with HSA, simple IRA retirement and professional development education. Potential for relocation assistance.
We aim for 40-hour weeks in town but overtime and travel are occasionally required.
