Job Responsibilities:
This position reports to the Chief Land Surveyor for Seattle Parks and Recreation. The successful candidate will provide a wide array of land surveying and mapping services for EDTS; Planning; Project and Construction Management; our Property and Acquisition Services within the Policy and Finance Division; along with maintenance, operations, recreation and natural resources staff throughout Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Typical responsibilities include assisting the Chief Land Surveyor in the delivery of land boundary, topographic and other surveys to industry and City of Seattle standards. This candidate’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to; project research, estimating and costing, performing complex GPS/GNSS and Field Traverse computations, QA/QC of Land Survey and Mapping field procedures and deliverables, completion of final Maps, Plans and Exhibits to SPR and COS CADD Standards, review and QA/QC of Consultant Deliverables for Land Survey and Mapping projects, boundary and construction calculations, topographic, boundary and right-of-way features for Capital Improvement Projects, Encroachments, Construction and Monitoring projects with complex and varied software systems and data collection devices for the Land Survey and Mapping group.
