Job Summary:
Larson & Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time field surveyor to join our team. This position is responsible for leading daily field operations of our one or two-person field crews. Typical projects include: Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, ALTA Surveys, Elevation Certificates/LOMA’s, Plats, Short Plats, and Condominiums.

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive data acquisition.
• Direct and train field staff to ensure efficiency.
• Communicate with team members, clients, and the public.
• Take clear and complete field notes.
• Ensure the maintenance of field equipment and vehicles.
• Review work for accuracy and completeness.
• Operation of robotic total stations, GPS equipment, survey support equipment.

Job Qualifications:
• Professional attitude and commitment to the survey profession.
• Commitment to safety.
• Ability to carry equipment and other supplies up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to navigate all types of terrain in various weather conditions.
• Experience with modern survey equipment such a robotic total stations, GPS and data collectors.
• Ability to work together as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Valid driver’s License and clean driving record.
• 3 years Survey Crew Chief experience preferred.

Compensation:
Compensation for this position will depend on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Larson provides paid holidays, vacation, sick time, along with monthly retirement account contribution and health, vision and dental insurance for employee.
