The Crew Chief is largely responsible for operation of field instruments, collection of field data and calculations necessary to perform various field surveys including boundary, topographic and construction surveys.
Major responsibilities include collecting field data for boundary and topographic surveys, perform computations during field survey activities, convert limited verbal and written directions from Principal Surveyor to obtain field survey data, maintains survey instruments and performs minor adjustments, performs analysis and back checking for accuracy of collected data, maintains records of daily survey activities including sketches and other forms of field notes in accordance with company policies, directs instrument person to carryout daily activities in an efficient and safe manner, assists in education and development of instrument person.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 years of field survey experience is required. The successful candidate must have a valid Washington State Driver’s license and have a safe driving record.
