DEA, ranked in the top 100 Top Design Firms by ENR, is seeking a Survey Project Manager to join a dynamic team of professional surveyors in our Bellevue, WA office. The primary focus of this position will be to bring excellent service to our Puget Sound Region clients by managing and delivering exceptional quality survey projects that are on time and on budget. The Survey Project Manager’s duties include writing proposals, developing and managing project budgets and schedules, managing survey crews and office staff in performing control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveying services. Since DEA is dedicated to utilizing cutting edge technology, the Survey Project Manager will have many conventional and geospatial tools (GPS, terrestrial laser scanning, unmanned aerial systems, mobile mapping systems and hydrographic mapping systems) available to utilize on projects. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:
• Develop tactical action plans for project and or client pursuits
• Develop new and maintain existing client relationships within the markets and regions we currently operate
• Performing calculations
• Quality control oversight
• Coordinating with other DEA disciplines and clients
• Directing the field and office crewmembers in the performance of their duties and mentoring and coaching them to advance within the survey profession as their individual abilities allow

Basic Qualifications:
• Capable of self-managing projects, communicating well with clients and mentoring junior level staff members
• Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in Washington or ability to obtain in 1 year
• Familiarity with state and county mapping requirements
• Strong computer skills with CAD and Land Surveying software such as: AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation Open Roads, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Able to work well in a team environment
• Knowledge of WSDOT survey standards a plus
