Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking a Survey Field Technician (Civil Engineering Specialist, Associate) in the Land Survey section of the Project Delivery Branch. This position is responsible for leading a Land Survey Crew or work independently with a robotic total station, collecting data to make maps for Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) to aid the design of City infrastructure; surveying dams and other structures for critical safety monitoring; monitoring the budget and schedule of assigned survey field work, and insuring that all work is performed safely and within required accuracy standards. Land Survey crews perform all aspects of land surveying, field data collection and reconnaissance, including ALTA/ACSM surveys, boundary, and topographic surveys, as-builts, construction layout services, etc.
