Job Description
Skillings is currently hiring for Field Survey Party Chief. Candidate must be able to perform field duties in a party chief capacity. The candidate should have knowledge in the maintenance of field equipment, setup, operations, and proper field procedures to ensure efficient and accurate field data collection and add value to our survey and design team.
Minimum Qualifications
• 2 years Minimum Party Chief experience
• High School Diploma / GED
• Valid Driver’s License, and safe driving record
• Ability to use a robotic total station and GPS/RTK
• Ability to use data collection software for field to finish
• Experience performing topographic mapping
• Ability to travel out of town overnight (limited durations)
• Motivated and growth orientated person
• Good communications with staff and clients
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Work alone or as part of a team with the appropriate field equipment
• Work effectively and maintain a good attitude with our field and office team
• Ability to perform basic office functions, use Microsoft 365 software, download and process field data
• Take field notes including depiction sketches
• Maintain quality field procedures
Preferred Qualifications
• LSIT or PLS certifications
• Provide field calculations and construction staking
• Provide equipment calibration and maintenance
• Ability to operate Topcon total station and GPS receivers.
• Experience using Trimble Access and Topcon Magnet
• Civil 3d experience
• Washington State Flagging certification
• First Aid certification
